Who relies on our delivery trucks
A Turf Delivery Business Built for Builders and Homeowners
Different customers need different things from a turf delivery. A homeowner wants clear advice and a delivery day that suits a weekend of laying. A builder or developer needs turf to arrive when the site is ready so a handover isn’t held up, and a landscaper wants pallets placed where the crew can work quickly.
We’ve supplied all of these customers for decades as a family-owned grower. Turf is cut fresh to your booked date, our forklift-equipped trucks set pallets down close to the lawn, and empty pallets leave with the truck. You deal with people who know the turf and the job.
In short: Arrow Turf is a family-owned turf farm on the Hawkesbury River that delivers fresh turf to homes, building sites and commercial projects six days a week. Pricing depends on the variety, square metres, delivery distance and access. Orders are harvested to suit your date and are usually ready within a day or two.

Reliable Scheduling for Every Customer
The Turf Delivery Business Trusted on Homes and Building Sites
When turf is part of a bigger project, timing affects everyone involved. Builders often need a finished lawn before a home is handed over, developers may be landscaping several lots, and property managers want a tidy result with little disruption to tenants. Homeowners have their own deadlines too, from a family event to a house going on the market. In every case, turf that arrives late, early or in poor condition creates extra work for whoever is laying it. Even a single backyard can involve a tiler, a fencer and a landscaper working in the same week.
Our turf delivery business is set up around those deadlines. We confirm the variety and quantity before cutting, harvest to your booked day and send a truck with a forklift so pallets go where you want them. Real estate agents, schools and councils use the same process for smaller or larger areas. For coverage details and booking, see our Sydney turf delivery service page.

Project Pressures
Handover Dates, Crew Time and Busy Sites: What Our Deliveries Solve
Builders, landscapers and homeowners tend to face the same handful of delivery headaches. Here are three we deal with regularly. Each one comes up on small backyard jobs and large developments alike, and each is avoidable.
Lawns holding up a handover. On new homes and renovations, the lawn is often one of the last jobs before the keys change hands. We schedule delivery around your site program so the turf is there when the ground is ready and the final stage isn’t delayed.
Crews waiting on materials. A landscaping crew standing around costs money. Because we cut to a booked date and place pallets with a forklift close to the work area, laying can start soon after the truck arrives.
Cleaning up after delivery. Leftover pallets clutter a site and are a hassle to get rid of. Our trucks are fitted for pallet recovery, so empties are collected once the turf is unloaded and the area stays tidy.

Delivery Costs Explained
How Much Does a Turf Delivery Business Charge for a Project?
Whether you’re turfing one backyard or several lots, the cost comes down to a few clear drivers. Variety and total square metres set the turf price, while travel distance from our farm and truck access to the drop point affect delivery. Optional extras such as underlay add to the load.
| Price driver | How it affects your cost |
|---|---|
| Turf variety | Kikuyu is the most budget-friendly; soft leaf buffalo and premium couch cost more per m². |
| Order size | Turf is priced per square metre, and larger orders can attract better rates. |
| Delivery location and access | Distance from our farm and how easily the truck can reach your drop point. |
| Extras | Turf underlay, lawn starter fertiliser or water crystals added to your load. |
Tell us about your project and timeline, and we’ll send a free quote that covers the turf, delivery and any extras you need.
Our Hawkesbury Farm
Grown and Dispatched From Our Family Farm
Our turf delivery business runs from the farm we’ve worked for more than 45 years at 104 Cornwallis Road, Cornwallis, beside the Hawkesbury River. All five varieties are grown in our own paddocks, which lets us plan harvests around the jobs our customers have booked. That way, turf isn’t harvested until a customer is ready for it.
Each order is cut to suit its delivery date, stacked on pallets and loaded onto a truck carrying its own forklift. We deliver across Greater Sydney and surrounding areas, and customers who prefer to collect can book a pickup time at the farm, where our team will help load by hand or machinery.

How Our Delivery Process Works for Builders and Homeowners
We keep the process the same whether you’re a first-time homeowner or a builder ordering for a new estate. Four simple steps take your order from measurements to a lawn ready for laying.
1. Measure and choose: measure your lawn area and choose a variety, or ask us for advice.
2. Book your delivery: call or order online and pick a delivery day.
3. We cut and deliver: your turf is harvested fresh and placed by forklift where you need it.
4. Lay and water: lay the turf on the day it arrives and water it in; we take the pallets away.
Commercial and Multi-Site Demands We Plan For
Larger customers often bring extra requirements that a good delivery partner needs to plan for.
Several lots or stages. Developers and builders may need turf for different lots at different times. We can plan separate deliveries so each area receives fresh turf when it’s ready to be laid.
Large open areas. Schools, parks and commercial grounds cover a lot of ground. Maxi rolls with fewer joins can speed up laying and give a cleaner finish across big spaces. We can advise on whether maxi rolls suit your site and machinery access.
Hard-wearing surfaces for heavy use. Public and shared spaces see constant foot traffic. Kikuyu and Wintergreen couch are tough, quick-recovering choices that we often recommend for these sites.
Clear communication with site contacts. When several people are involved, delivery details can get lost. Give us the right site contact and access notes, and we’ll plan the drop around them. That way the pallets go where the person laying them expects.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Turf Delivery Business
Who uses your turf delivery business?
Our turf delivery business supplies homeowners, landscapers, builders, developers, property managers, real estate agents, schools and councils. Each order is cut fresh to its booked date, delivered with a truck-mounted forklift, and the empty pallets are collected before the truck leaves.
Can you deliver turf to a building site?
Yes. Building sites are some of our most regular drop points. Let us know about access, any other trades working that day and where the lawn area is, and we’ll plan for the forklift to place the pallets as close as practical.
Do you supply landscapers on a regular basis?
Many landscapers order from us for job after job. Our turf delivery business can book drops to suit each project, recommend a variety for the client’s yard and place turf where the crew will start laying.
What is the best turf for a high-traffic commercial area?
For sunny areas that take a lot of wear, Kikuyu and Wintergreen couch are hard-wearing and recover quickly. Where there is part shade, a soft leaf buffalo such as Sir Walter may suit better. We’ll help you choose based on the site.
Can you split a large order into several deliveries?
We can. Staged deliveries help when lots or sections are ready at different times, because each delivery should go down the day it lands. Tell us the stages and approximate dates, and we’ll plan the harvest and trucks around them.
Are maxi rolls available for big projects?
Yes. Maxi rolls are large-format rolls that cover more ground with fewer joins, which suits sports areas, parks and big commercial lawns. You can learn more on our maxi roll turf page or ask us about supply for your site.
How heavy is a delivered pallet of turf?
At roughly 15 to 20 kg per square metre, a pallet of fresh turf is much too heavy to shift by hand. That’s why our turf delivery business uses trucks with forklifts to set pallets down near the lawn area.
How quickly can a delivery be organised?
We harvest to order, and most turf is ready a day or two after you book. We deliver six days a week, so once your site is prepared we can usually find a delivery day that works for you or your crew.
