From our paddock to your property
Turf Delivery From Our Farm Straight to Your Door
Ordering turf for delivery should feel simple: you choose a grass, tell us the area and pick a day, and fresh rolls turn up ready to lay. Behind that, there’s a short and carefully timed journey from our paddocks to your driveway.
Because we grow every variety ourselves, nothing passes through a middleman or sits in a depot. We harvest your order to suit the delivery date, stack it on pallets and send it out on a truck fitted with a forklift. The driver lowers the pallets close to your lawn area, collects the empties and leaves you with laying and watering instructions.
In short: We’re a family business growing turf in Cornwallis and trucking our own homegrown rolls out six days a week. The cost reflects your variety, square metres, distance from the farm and site access. Your turf is harvested to order and is typically ready within a day or two of booking.

Delivery Made Simple
Turf Delivery for Homes, Gardens and New Builds
Most people ordering turf are replacing a tired lawn, finishing a new home or creating a garden from bare soil. Whatever the project, the turf has to arrive in good condition and in the right place. Fresh turf is heavy, perishable and bulky, so carrying it in a car or trailer is hard work for a large lawn. A well-organised delivery takes that load off your hands and lets you spend the day laying, rather than shifting rolls back and forth across the yard.
Our approach keeps the whole journey short and predictable. You place your order online or by phone, choose a delivery day from the six we run each week and we cut your turf to suit. The truck carries a forklift, so heavy pallets land close to the lawn area, and the empties go back with the driver. Every delivery comes with simple advice on preparing soil, laying rolls and watering them in. You can check coverage and book through our turf delivery service for Sydney.

Lawn Situations
Bare Soil, Worn Lawns and New Builds: When Turf Delivery Helps
People order turf delivery for many reasons, but three situations come up again and again. Each one benefits from fresh turf arriving exactly where it’s needed.
A worn-out or patchy lawn. Bare patches, weeds and thin grass are common after years of heavy use or dry weather. Replacing the lawn with fresh turf gives you an instant green surface, and delivery means you don’t have to haul dozens of rolls home yourself.
Bare soil after building or renovating. New homes and extensions often leave compacted, dusty ground that turns muddy after rain. Fresh turf covers it quickly and helps hold the soil in place once roots take hold.
A big area with no transport. Fresh turf weighs roughly 15 to 20 kg per square metre, which adds up fast. Our forklift-equipped trucks handle the weight and lower each pallet near your lawn area, saving you a lot of lifting and many trips.

Understanding the Cost
How Much Does Turf Delivery Cost?
Turf delivery is priced around your order, not a flat fee. The grass you choose and the square metres you need set the turf cost, while the distance from our Cornwallis farm and how easily our truck can reach your drop point shape the delivery side. Extras such as underlay can travel on the same load.
| Price driver | How it affects your cost |
|---|---|
| Turf variety | Kikuyu is the most budget-friendly; soft leaf buffalo and premium couch cost more per m². |
| Order size | Turf is priced per square metre, and larger orders can attract better rates. |
| Delivery location and access | Distance from our farm and how easily the truck can reach your drop point. |
| Extras | Turf underlay, lawn starter fertiliser or water crystals added to your load. |
Send through your address and lawn size and we’ll prepare a free quote for your turf and delivery in one go.
Where It All Starts
Our Farm, Our Harvest and Your Delivery
Your turf grows on our family farm at 104 Cornwallis Road, Cornwallis, beside the Hawkesbury River and close to Windsor and Richmond. Our family has farmed turf here for more than 45 years, tending five varieties across our own paddocks.
When you book a delivery, we schedule the harvest for your order so the turf is cut close to dispatch. It is stacked on pallets, loaded onto a truck with a forklift and driven to your property. We service homes, businesses and building sites across Greater Sydney and surrounding areas. If you’d rather collect, you can choose a pickup date and time at the farm instead.

How a Turf Delivery Order Works From Start to Finish
There are only a few things to do on your side before the truck arrives. The four steps below walk through what happens from measuring up to watering in your new lawn.
1. Measure and choose: measure your lawn area and choose a variety, or ask us for advice.
2. Book your delivery: call or order online and pick a delivery day.
3. We cut and deliver: your turf is harvested fresh and placed by forklift where you need it.
4. Lay and water: lay the turf on the day it arrives and water it in; we take the pallets away.
Preparing Your Property for Delivery Day
A few simple preparations make delivery day smoother and help your new lawn get off to a strong start.
Ground that isn’t ready. Clear the old grass and weeds, level the area and spread about 100 to 150 mm of 80/20 turf underlay before the turf arrives. Laying on firm, even soil helps the roots knit in quickly.
No clear drop point. Decide where the pallets should go, such as the driveway or the edge of the lawn, and keep that space free of cars and materials. Mention gates, slopes or soft ground when you book.
Water not ready. New turf needs a deep soak as soon as it’s laid. Set up hoses or sprinklers in advance so you can water each section as you finish it.
Not enough hands on the day. Laying a large lawn is quicker with help. Line up family, friends or a landscaper so every roll goes down on delivery day.
Frequently Asked Questions About Turf Delivery
How does turf delivery from your farm work?
Turf delivery from our farm starts when you choose a variety, quantity and delivery day. We cut your turf to suit that date, load it onto a truck fitted with a forklift and place the pallets close to your lawn area. The empty pallets are then taken away.
How many days a week do you deliver?
Our turf delivery trucks are on the road six days a week. That gives you plenty of choice when you’re fitting turf around work, weather or a landscaper’s schedule, and it means you rarely have to wait long once your ground is prepared.
Do I need to be home for turf delivery?
It helps to be there, or to have someone on site, so you can show the driver where to place the pallets. If you can’t be home, give us clear drop-point instructions when you book so the turf can be left in the right spot.
Can you deliver turf underlay with my order?
Extras such as turf underlay, lawn starter fertiliser or water crystals can be added to your order. Ask about them when you order so they arrive on the same truck and you have everything ready for laying.
How soon should I lay the turf after delivery?
Aim to lay your delivered turf the same day it arrives. Fresh turf can heat up and dry out if it stays stacked on pallets, especially in warm weather. Water each section deeply as you go, then keep watering once or twice a day for about three weeks.
Can I collect turf instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Book a pickup slot at our Cornwallis farm through the website or over the phone. See our turf pickup page for details, or compare delivery options on our turf supplies page. Our team will help load your vehicle when you arrive.
Which turf varieties can I have delivered?
Every variety we grow is available for turf delivery: Sir Walter and Matilda soft leaf buffalo, Kikuyu, Wintergreen couch and Greenlees Park couch. Large areas can also be supplied in maxi rolls, which have fewer joins.
What if my property has steep or narrow access?
Let us know about steep driveways, narrow side gates or soft ground when you book. Our forklift can usually place pallets close to the lawn, but knowing the access in advance helps us plan the safest and most practical drop point.
